Garden Planning and Garden Design
Sibley Landscapes are passionate about beautiful gardens. We provide complete service from initial discussion of ideas and garden design through to implementing the final build and after care. With our extensive knowledge and experience we can create your own personal outdoor space. We work with your needs and requirements to produce a garden that works for you, be it a modern garden with simple minimalist design, a warm cottage garden, eco friendly/ wildlife garden or a child and pet friendly garden.
Regular Garden Maintenance & Garden Care
We offer a regular maintenance service which can cover all or some of the following: mowing of lawns, garden border maintenance, weeding, pruning/ trimming of hedges and shrubs, clearing leaves in autumn and general garden maintenance duties.
This service can be tailored to your personal requirements and can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits.
In addition we can offer yearly lawn care, replacement and infill planting or bedding plants to add instant colour.
Paths, Paving, Patios, Driveways
Want to enhance your garden with some hard landscaping such as a patio or paved area? We can offer a variety of options from concrete or natural stone slabs to vitrified porcelain paving. We can provide materials to suit all budgets and to any shape or size. We also work with concrete and clay pavers to create paths and low maintenance driveways. Alternatively if your want something a little softer we can provide a selection of gravels or barks for paths, hard standings or simply to tidy up an area of unsightly bare ground.
Ponds and Garden Features
Ponds are a great feature in any garden whether you want to bring more wildlife into your garden or create an ornamental fish pond. We can work to your requirements to build a pond suited to your garden. Traditional sunken ponds surrounded by lawns or in patios, raised ponds of all shapes and sizes clad in brick, stone or timber.
We can also construct other garden structures such pergolas, arches, feature walls, specimen trees and sculptures.
Decking & Raised Beds
An area of raised decking can help to break up and garden as well as providing a functional area for seating and entertaining. All of our decking is rot resistant and constructed from pressure treated timber or hardwoods such as oak. There is also the option of artificial materials such as composite decking.
Raised beds are another great practical feature in the garden, providing tiered levels for different planting heights as well as being less labour intensive to maintain and easier on your back. Raised beds can be constructed from many products such as brick, timber boards or timber sleepers. Reclaimed railways sleepers, pressure treated softwood or Oak sleepers are a option. Sleepers can also be used to form an attractive retaining wall.
Walling - Stone Walls, Brick Walls, Dry Stone Walls
We can undertake a variety of walling related work, including building new garden walls, retaining walls, re-pointing and repair work. Whether it be stone, brick or block our skilled team produce work to the highest standards.
We work with all forms of materials for different applications, such as brick work, rendered and veneered concrete block work, natural stone, new and reclaimed, dry stone walls and traditional skills like stone faced banks.
New Fencing and Fencing Repair
We undertake fencing of all types. Concrete posts and gravel board, close boarded, overlap panel, post and rail, stock, picket fencing and much more. Our skilled team can carry out repairs to rotten and wind damaged fences, replacing posts, panels or installing concrete supporting spurs. As well as erection of new or complete replacement fencing lines.
All timber used is pressure treated and timber in contact with the ground is treated to class 4 (UC4) standard with a 10+ year service life.
Tree Surgery, Coppicing & Pollarding
Sibley landscapes highly skilled tree surgeons can carry out a variety of tree care works, from small Bay trees to 100ft Poplars.
Work includes crown reductions, pollarding, large limb removal, dealing with storm damaged and windblown trees or complete removal.
Unwanted tree stumps can be extracted by grinding or excavation. All material can be processed into logs on site or turned into wood chip to make useful mulch for the garden.
Shrubs & Hedges Cutting, Laying and Reduction
Here at Sibley landscapes we offer a large variety services for all your garden hedges and shrubs including planting new Laurel or mixed native hedging and full size feature trees and shrubs.
We also offer a complete hedge cutting service for everything from large formal conifer hedges to smaller mixed species hedges. We can also carry out hedge laying, reductions (lowered in height) and splitting (reduced in width).
Sibley Landscapes has the skills and knowledge to keep your lawn looking at its best. We offer a comprehensive package of treatments to maintain a healthy lawn, spring and autumn lawn feeds by drop spreader to maximise coverage and minimise wastage, weed control, direct moss kill treatment, top dressing, rolling, scarifying and lawn aerating.
We use high quality amenity lawn turf tailored to your requirements. For example hard wearing grasses for children’s play areas, to fine/soft mixes for formal lawns. We can also offer wild flower matting if you would like a more natural look.
Environmental Work - Wild Flower Meadows & Ponds
Sibley landscapes can provide a wide variety of environmental works to include tree planting for new woodland, wild flower meadow matting to attract bees and butterflies, wildlife ponds as habitat for frogs and newts, to name just a few. We also avoid using chemicals wherever possible to minimise our impact on the environment.
